Who We Are
Chae McCahon, Owner/President
Client relations, Billing & Credentialing Specialist
Before founding Prestige Billing Co, Chae spent many years managing operations and billing for a practice in Albuquerque, where she developed extensive experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers. She is highly skilled in all aspects of claims management, including denial follow-up, eligibility verification, authorizations, claims corrections and rejections, payment posting, patient invoicing, and overall account management. She takes pride in maintaining healthy accounts receivable and ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
Chae grew up in Los Angeles, CA and Santa Fe, NM as an only child. She holds dual Bachelors degrees in advertising and psychology from the University of New Mexico and has lived in Albuquerque, NM since. Chae always knew she wanted to become an entrepreneur and is so glad that she followed this passion.
Chae founded Prestige Billing Co. in 2019, following the birth of her second son, with the goal of creating a company where employees feel valued, clients can place their trust with confidence, and operational gaps common in other billing companies are addressed and improved. Chae is passionate about leadership and helping others grow into the roles and goals they aspire to achieve.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, working out, and hiking.
Steven Moya
Billing Manager
Steven was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. He spent a majority of his career in the customer service/retail business and it wasn’t until 2017 when he was hired by a local medical billing company that he found his true calling. After working 2 years in the medical billing field, he wanted to broaden his knowledge about the industry. In 2019 he completed the Medical Billing and Coding courses at Carrington College and in 2021 he completed the requirements set forth by the National Healthcare Association as a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist. His main area of expertise is in Behavioral Health, but he also has experience in PCP billing and urgent care billing.
When he is not working, he loves spending time with his family and loves going on walks with his 2 huskies. He is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys going to games. He also loves watching and betting on sports.
James Anzara
Billing Specialist
James was born in Albuquerque, NM and was raised in the Isleta Pueblo. Pre billing, James worked in Maintenance and HVAC until he decided he needed a change of pace and went back to school. After receiving his certificate in coding and billing in 2020, James worked for two years to expand his expertise before finding his place at Prestige.
In his free time, James enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Natacia Velasco
Billing Specialist
Born and raised In Albuquerque, NM, Natacia graduated from the Medical Billing & Coding Program at Carrington College. After spending seven years expanding her knowledge and gaining experience, Natacia decided to join prestige and continue providing her quality service. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets.
Isabel Huerta
Billing Specialist
Isabel was born and raised in Broomfield, Colorado along with her 6 siblings. In 2017 she attended The University of New Mexico, where she met her husband Fernando who played Ice Hockey at the university with her eldest brother. She and Fernando have a 1 year old son, a boxer puppy and a Holland lop bunny.
Isabel comes from a local Mortgage Brokerage where she worked as a Licensed MLO and a Loan Processing manager for the last 4 years. She’s passionate about client experience and procedure and is extremely excited to branch out into the Medical billing world!
Isabel enjoys being with her family and watching the Colorado Avalanche NHL team.
Samantha Chang-Salmon
Administrative Assistant, Primary Care Insurance Verification Specialist
Samantha graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with her bachelor's degree in forensic psychology. She is in the process of launching an online bridal boutique.
Samantha and her husband reside in Albuquerque with their three dogs and cat. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, participating in community theatre, and playing dungeons and dragons.
Crystal Harris-Padilla
Billing Specialist
Crystal was born in Tennessee but grew up in NM. Her early career was in the restaurant industry where she met her husband, Johnathan. Shortly after, she then spent her career serving the dental community as an administrative assistant specializing in benefits and eligibility.
In 2017, after getting married, she decided to leave dental behind and try something different. She found a position within a very small private billing company working for the largest opioid treatment facility and that is where she found her passion in billing for the behavioral health community. After 6 years with them, her boss decided it was time for him to retire so Crystal began the hunt to continue her career in behavioral health billing and that when she came onboard with PBC!
Besides working with PBC, she owns a childrens boutique, that she started in 2022 to help with fertility treatments. She also enjoys gaming with her husband, hiking with their dog Tundra, and spending time with close friends
Samantha Kopleman
Billing Specialist
Sam was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She moved out to Illinois to attend Knox College, where she graduated with honors with a dual degree in Psychology and French. After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she began working in the healthcare industry helping customers navigate the complicated world of health insurance, and then went on to work in provider relations assisting behavioral health providers with their billing needs.
Outside of work, she loves cooking, taking dance classes, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Maria Candelaria
Billing Specialist
Maria was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She started her career in the insurance world, helping people enroll and understand their benefits. She briefly lived and worked in New Jersey doing franchise work. Once she moved back home, she was happy to jump right back into insurance, working for a local dental company, specializing in Dental billing and claims.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, significant other, and her two dogs and cat. She is a true crime fanatic. Loves reading, painting and working on her new hobby of pottery.
Morgan Dougherty
Billing and Credentialing Specialist
Born and raised in Long Island New York. Morgan graduated from Castleton State College of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in American literature. Spent over 15 years in retail management before deciding to go back to school to pursue a career in Medical Billing and Coding. Graduated with a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from San Juan College of New Mexico with Presidential Honors. Morgan is a Certified Coding Specialist. Morgan is very excited and happy to be the newest team member at Prestige Billing Company. She lives in Cedar Gove NM with her husband and cat. When not working you can find her out in the wilderness either backpacking, kayaking rivers or running long-distance.
Sarah Graves-Brown
Billing Specialist
Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Sarah spent the majority of her career in customer service and the food industry. She has a degree in Culinary Arts and Patisserie. However, she discovered a passion for medical billing and has been part of her career since 2019. She is excited to bring her expertise and to be a part of the Prestige Family.
Outside of her professional life, Sarah loves spending quality time with her husband and 5 dogs watching Scooby-Doo. You can also find her playing video games, reading, travelling, or outside in the sunshine.
Melissa Estrada
Eligibility and Benefits Specialist
Melissa was born and raised in Bernalillo, New Mexico and now resides in Rio Rancho. After leaving the restaurant industry during COVID, Melissa decided to go back to school and received her associate's degree in criminology, communications, and liberal arts. Joining the PBC team is a highlight and utilizes all of the skills Melissa has hoped to use. She loves the part her work plays in allowing mental health access to many in New Mexico.
Rebecca Kennerly
Billing Specialist
Born in Tucson, Arizona, Rebecca Kennerly grew up all over the United States as part of a military family before settling in Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico. After earning her master’s degree in education, she dedicated over 20 years to serving students in the Albuquerque Public Schools system.
As she approached retirement, Rebecca pursued a second career that aligned with her passion for helping others and her strong belief in the value of mental health support. She earned her certification in medical billing and coding and now proudly works at Prestige Billing Company—her first role in the field and, as she puts it, the perfect fit. She feels fortunate to be part of an organization recognized as the Best Place to Work 2025 (and it truly is!).
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her two grown children and future child-in-law, playing board games, planning her next Disney trip, and camping when the New Mexico weather allows.
Jade Ramirez
Eligibility and Benefits Specialist
Jade Ramirez, originally from Santa Fe, NM, currently resides in Albuquerque, NM. She has built a career over many years working for the State of New Mexico. After moving to Albuquerque she wanted a change and began her journey in the customer service industry and now is excited to begin her profession as a benefits and eligibility specialist.
She's a dedicated mother of two daughters and actively volunteers, giving back to her community.
